I had big plans to write a structured newsletter, with sections and everything, but I just decided that sounds too hard. So here is a gif I made of one of my papier-maché bowls that just sold. Do you want to see the inside of the bowl?
Do you want to read more newsletters? Do I want to write more words? I don’t know. My plan is to send this thing out every two weeks and see what happens. Don’t feel bad if you want to unsubscribe. We should all be doing something more useful anyway (but joy! beauty! they are important too). It’s hard to hit the right tone.
I’m for anything that is less about planning and more about doing right now. I’m missing friends in the US, and feeling bad for being away. But I’m also enjoying being an outsider sometimes and having that little bit of clarity that comes from distance.
My students are doing a really scary and fun project that you can follow along with, check it out on our Pittville Press substack: https://pittvillepress.substack.com/s/olio
So the moral of the story is that not everything you make will be perfect every single time and that’s okay, it’s all a learning experience and you will continue to make, create and grow within your practice.
You can think of it as a distraction, but you can also cheer them on and help them discover their power.
That’s everything for now. Take care of yourselves out there.
