I’ve been painting some ceramics, and this is a favourite bit so far….nothing’s been fired yet. In fact, I’ve discovered this piece is too big for our university’s kiln so I’m going to need to find a place to get it fired!
Teaching
Lots of Riso printing going on in the studio as we near the end of the semester. I just finished a project with first-year work (a guidebook to Cheltenham!) that we’re selling over the next few months. We just did Duplicate Fair in Birmingham and have a few more upcoming (our own Finelines festival, CMYK in Hereford, and Glasgow Zine Fest this July!).
Recommendations
I saw this guide to bees at an exhibition at our local town museum (The Wilson) and I love their faces…
I’m also reading Becoming Animal: an Earthly Cosmology by David Abram and I recommend it, but even more let’s go get away from screens for the rest of the day! Hope you see some sunshine, catch a breeze, or touch some leaves today….
