It’s getting to be that time again where I’m beavering away at the new physical mailing….and it means I should show you the I sent out last season!
No, it’s not laundry….Justin & I have been developing some new hankies! If you’ve been around for a while you’ll know we designed quite a few for the Philadelphia Museum of Art the year before last, and we’ve found we use them so much around our house that we thought we should design some more (and make them better!).
If you’ve never used a cloth hankie before, I hope you’ll be in for a pleasant surprise. My mom just stayed with us over the holidays and she became a total convert! I made her one for Christmas (with her name printed on it, of course), and she stole a whole bunch of our samples so she has a good supply to take home….
Hankies are mostly great because they don’t give you a red and dry peel-y nose when you have a cold like disposable tissues. They are also much better for the environment because you don’t throw them away after each use. They are super easy to just toss in the laundry, and once you have a good supply they fit into the normal flow of clean clothes in the house.
So this year, you’ll see the new line of hankies come out on our website (and hopefully in more shops too!)….in the meantime, let us know if you like them!
And if you’d like to be on the receiving end of our physical mailings, just sign up for a paid subscription below. You’ll get something in the mail from us each season, always something new and always based on the work we’re doing in the studio (or something we wish we were doing!)….and thanks as always for your support!
