Well, this post has been sitting in the drafts folder for a while. But I feel like there are some gems in here that might still be worth sharing. It is the last of my posts from the drafts folder, so it really is a clear out.
This is a horse I met in France when we went to Harras du Pin. I took this picture and for some reason erased the background. It makes him look a little strange, but I really liked meeting him. He seemed quite special, though I did not write down his name or any biographical details (which there were posted in his stall). But I kept the photo because he really did seem like I should try to remember him.
This is some Austrian toothpaste I bought in Slovenia with my friend Polona. She very nicely took me too not only a pharmacy type store, but also to the agricultural supply store. I still regret not buying the blankets I found there. But this toothpaste, it was incredibly medicinal and it was in a metal tube. I’m trying to have a plastic free bathroom and toothpaste is very hard to get not it a plastic tube.
This swan was in Regent’s Park last time I went to London. I also shot a video because he was being so weird. He was pacing back and forth underneath this bridge like he was desperate to get to the other side or really worried about something else getting through. There’s a wire mesh that’s hard to see in the photos, so he can’t pass under the bridge. But he could just come out and come on to land and go around the bridge that way. He didn’t seem interested in doing that though. I watched him for almost 15 minutes.
This was just a weird looking bird I also saw in Regent’s park. He didn’t do anything too unusual….just thought maybe I’d draw him later. I have not drawn him yet.
